2 Vintage Folk Pottery Ocarinas
Vintage pair of glazed redware Ocarinas paint decorated with a traditional European floral motif.
Most likely produced in Hungary or Czechoslovakia based on the material and decoration.
Both with a small incised hallmark on the tail featuring a heart design.
Measure approx 9 inches long x 3 3/4 wide.
Body features eight tone holes on one side, two thumb holes and a voicing hole on the other. There are no subholes.
Condition:
Though vintage, this pair remains in very good to excellent condition. I don’t see any chips, cracks or repairs in the clay. There’s some glaze loss on top of the areas of white paint. As these are handmade items, there are some minor rough spots, pottery anomalies and areas with uneven glaze coverage.
