This listing is for a lovely antique Sterling Silver chamberstick made by The Merrill Shops, c. 1900. The chamberstick is decorated with an elaborate design around the outer edge that includes floral sprays. The raised candle cup stands in the center of a recessed bowl with thumb hold. Marked with the trademark stamp of The Merrill Shops in business in New York NY from 1893-1931.
Measures 2 1/2" high, 3 1/4" in diameter (not including handle) and 6" wide (including handle). Weighs 120 grams.
This nice chamberstick is in very good to excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws and reflecting only minor signs of normal wear, however, the snuffer that would attach to the handle is missing.
