Antique Hand Painted Miniature Portrait Brooch

****This is a very finely made antique miniature portrait brooch, showing a young woman with very fancy hair for the time. The miniature is mounted onto a rear pin holder, for wear as a brooch on dress clothing. The border of the portrait shows small dots of a light blue paint, with some appearing to have chipped off due the age of this item. A golden toned paint, possibly a paint mixed with a small amount of gold, is painted around the very edge for a full border, and does have spots where the paint shows exposed porcelain beneath. The mounting arms still hold this miniature in place, though with a small amount of wiggle, with the rear pin assembly looking to be a brassy color with a very tight closure pin.
