Description
FKM is the short form for the fluoroelastomer category according to the American standard ASTM and is generally less expensive than its branded counterpart Viton®, however,
FKM is not FDA approved
. Both Viton® and FKM are made from the same fluoro rubber, and share the same high acid resistance and temperature range (-20°F - 400°F).
Gaskets and Seals are non-returnable.

What type of material should I use?
While we are prohibited from recommending a gasket type, we do offer a
Chemical Resistance Chart
(new window) that matches the resistance level of gasket materials to the different chemicals / food products you may be using. We may suggest using an A- or B-rated gasket for your particular application.
