80 Flex Index:
This boot has a flex rating of 80, which is moving out of the softer-entry level boots and into the stiffer more advanced ski boots. A boot of this flex is appropriate for a wide range of skiers, from lower intermediates looking to improve to expert skiers who want a more casual flex.
102mm last: Slightly wider than average to give a great fit for most skiers. This last was designed to fit pretty much everyone, but really wide feet, or the opposite, should look for different lasts more appropriate for their foot types.
Tongue Pull:
A loop of fabric at the top of the tongue helps in putting on and removing the boots. Pull it forward and to the side and your foot should slide right in.
Micro-adjustable aluminum buckles:
These aluminum buckles can be moved to adjust for size, so if the default position of the buckle and the teeth is too wide or too narrow, you can move it until it fits.
Double Canting: Two adjustment bolts, one each side of the ankle, allow for maximum adjustment for leg/knee alignment problems. The canting helps the skis stay flat on the ground while you are still bow-legged or knock-kneed.
Replaceable Toe and Heel Pads:
This is a must-have for skiers that don't live in ski in/ski out condos. When your ski tech tells you that you have to buy new boots because the soles are worn down too much, just laugh at him and tell him to order you a new set of sole plates.
35mm strap: Wider than average strap at the top of the boot to help keep the boot together and to give good performance while skiing.
CushFit Intution Liner Included:
The CushFit liner utilizes a combination of standard open and closed cell EVA foam in a similar multi-layer construction to offer warmth, comfort, and performance right out of the box. Asymmetric Tongues enhance fit and ensure smooth flex initiation, while the Power Collar offers the upper cuff support you demand to tackle the whole mountain.
Padded Mid Grip Sole:
Dual injected Thermo Plastic Urethane in the middle of the boot sole for added grip and traction while walking on rocks or riding on snowmobiles.
K2 Synchro Interlock:
Built on the Energy Interlock design platform, the Synchro Interlock enables the simultaneous release of both an internal wedge and the Interlock. When released, the Synchro Interlock delivers greater fore and aft range of motion for more efficient touring. Engaging the wedge and Interlock functionally creates an all-mountain boot, with 100% of the flex index and uncompromised downhill performance. This user-friendly design can be locked or released with the flick of a ski pole for on-the-go efficiency.
Powerfuse Spyne Tech:
A rear co-injected shaped design that adds strength and power to the Energy Interlock, the PowerFuse SpYne maximizes fore/aft flex efficiency and lateral stiffness for sustained performance and responsiveness in all terrain. Because of the SpYne, we are able to optimize materials in the cuff and shell, eliminating excessive vibrations in rough terrain.
