Description
The Akron FDC, Oct 4, 1933, is the rarest of the C18 first day covers. This example is in very good condition with a stamp with f-vf margins, well placed, complete hand stamped cachet. Someone has written on the envelope in light pencil in several locations. Please see scans for details. Presents much nicer than the scanned image, a great addition for any collection. Pricing close to retail, but will entertain all offers. Thanks for looking.Shipping: I will combine shipping on lots but do charge an additional 25 cents per envelope shipping to do so. For instance, if you purchase a lot of 6 envelopes and another lot with 4, you will pay an additional for shipping (4 x .25). If you are combining items that have not been shipped, please wait for me to invoice you.
Personal Note: My listing prices may appear all over the place, quite unlike those larger operations that can either count on their loyal followers to bid the lot to its true market value at that moment, or can afford to take losses if the lot only receives a few bids. I have eaten a few losses in that fashion, so if you see that I have listed an item for .99 or even .99 as a starting bid know that I have very real and rational reasons to believe the lot is worth considerably more. (Please also note that my wife will shut me down in a second for losing money). Personally, I would rather start bidding a little higher on a lot myself instead of dealing with reserve prices. I do not set reserve prices beyond the price I have set. Enjoy!
