Beautiful pair of antique English candlesticks, bearing the Britannia standard .for 958 silver (higher grade of silver than sterling grade), traditional shape with 6-sided bases, featuring ornately embossed cherub heads, flowers, medallions, and scrollwork overall, hallmarked SG (Sebastian Garrard), ornate lion's head, Britannia lady symbol, and lower case gothic style "d" in cartouche (for year 1919), Sebastian Garrard was registered in London in 1901 as a silversmith, measuring 7-3/8" high x 4-13/16" at the base, one weighs 16.2 ozt and the other weighs 15.9 ozt for a total of 32.1 troy ounces for the pair, they are not weighted, the bobeches are removable for cleaning purposes, good condition, from a local estate.
