History
The gogos are small figures that became popular around 1995. The gogos were inspired by a game that was practiced in ancient Greece called Astragalus, which children played with knuckles of sheep. This ancient pastime is also known as the game of tabas. The gogos are a modernization of this game and it is made of molded plastic characters. There have been hundreds of individual characters, each character with a unique face and name. The different shapes of the figures caused them to bounce following different patterns, turning some more advantageous gogos over others.
At the beginning of 2008, new gogos appeared in the United Kingdom. There are sixty different types to collect as well as stickers. The rarest gogos are those that come in version special surprise, that present several colors, in contrast to the standard and simple version of a single color. Standard gogos come in five different colors.
