    Description

    This is a pair of Solid 10K Yellow Gold and Rio Grande Citrine Drop Dangle Earrings for pierced ears.  I recently acquired these at a local estate auction.  I believe they are contemporary pieces.  They are clearly marked 10K and have a maker's mark (GID) on the back of the tops and the guards are marked 14K.  The Earrings are done in plain Yellow gold with a bright polished finish.  Each Earring has a stylized "X" top that holds a prong set Pear Cut Rio Grande Citrine (so named because of the golden-orange color that comes from the Rio Grande district of Brazil) Drop / Dangle measuring 13mm tall by 8mm wide (at the widest.)  The Earrings each measure 1 1/8 inch tall (highest point of the "X" to the bottom of the Drop.)   The pair of earrings weigh 4.8 grams on my digital postal scale.
