A very cute little goofy lamb.  As there are no markings we could find we will do our best to describe it.  It measures 7" long, 6" high and about 3 1/2" wide.  Depending on eye placement this little lamb can have different facial expressions, this one seems somewhere between happy and goofy.
With the absence of glaze on the bottom or inside we would date this piece far earlier than most you see around.  The other minor difference to later examples are the rear legs being bent on this one.
There are two spots are under the glaze - one on the side, one on rear.  What looks like dirt on the face is not, it is missed glaze before firing.  Looks like there was a brown under than white over that.  There is more of the brown showing around the bottom and inside.
There are a few craze spots I noticed - near the early repair, but not crazed all over.  Regardless of these minor imperfections and the repair it is a great primitive piece that will display great in any farmhouse kitchen decor or the like.
