VINTAGE 1940s GRETSCH BLUE MARBLED OCARINA & OCARINA QUARTETTE BOOK
Up for auction is this spectacular vintage Gretsch blue marbled ocarina and Ocarina Quartette Book.  Just look at the pictures and see how beautiful this ocarina and ocarina quartette book are.  This Gretsch ocarina and the accompanying ocarina quartette book were made in 1940.  THE OCARINA features an eye catching blue swirled or marbled color.  This ocarina is an ALTO C model.  It was made in the USA.  The patent numbers are 2145605 & 2195992.  This ocarina comes with an accompanying OCARINA QUARTETTE BOOK from 1940s as well.  As you can see the book is a bit beat up.  The front cover is missing some pieces and the back cover is missing.  There are 24 pages to this book.  The pages include instructions on how to HOLD the ocarina, how to BLOW the ocarina and how to FINGER the ocarina.  There are also instructions on the "ARMY" method of playing the ocarina.  Most of the pages feature various songs and the correct fingering to play them.  As the pictures demonstrate the ocarina is in excellent vintage condition while the ocarina quartette book has a damaged front cover and missing back cover.
