~PAIR~ of STERLING Silver 3-Light TOWLE Convertible CANDELABRA French Provincial

Description

This auction is for two (2) Candelabra, both of which are Towle #633 items, which are the large (13 1/2 inches height, 12 1/2 inches width) three (3) light Candelabra in the French Provincial pattern. The Candelabra are assembled from the several components as shown in the photos. As noted above, one of the Candelabra is in good used condition, and the other one has dings on the edge of the base and the flawed threads in that same base which prevent the other components from being screwed securely into the base. It can be assembled as shown in the photos, but has a slight list off the vertical. There are a number of possible repairs that *may* be accomplished to remedy this defect, either professional repair (probably very expensive) or as I have found to be effective, a 3/4 inch strip of heavy duty aluminum foil wrapped tightly twice around the male component that screws into the base with the damaged threads; this secures it nicely. PLEASE NOTE: The outermost lights in the header photo are not skewed downward as they appear to be, the cheap lens on my camera does that. The Candelabra are already packed in generous amounts of bubble-wrap in a sturdy double-box, ready to be shipped to their new home. Thank you for looking at my auction.
